About Magnus

Powerful mutant with the ability to generate and control electromagnetic forces, Magneto has been the X-Men's most prominent enemy ever since his first appearance in X-Men #1. While in his early appearances his motives were bent on megalomania, the writers then revealed him to be a Jewish Holocaust survivor whose actions were driven by the purpose of protecting the mutant race from suffering a similar fate. He has been either the biggest X-Men supervillain and New Mutants classroom teacher, hired by Charles Xavier himself to take care of the new generation of mutants.

Why this fanlisting?

Magnus is probably my favourite comics character along Angel and Human Torch. When my comics passion was only at the beginning, Magnus came back with his old Purple/red costume against the clone Joseph and his creator, the evil Astra. The fight started a bright Magneto era, culminated with Magneto ruler of mutant island Genosha.
Little by little I lost interest in this character, apparently gone mad and addicted to some sort of drug.
But the passion kicked back with House of M events, Magnus better than ever!
I wanted to apply for this fanlisting when it was opened in comics category but, (fortunately, at those times), it was already approved to someone else. But in January, during a random check at the Network, I discovered Magneto's movie was open for apps, like the comic version, since months.
I couldn't really resist any longer, Magnus deserves a fanlisting! I mean, he's the mutant for excellence, the dark face of Charles Xavier!
