About Ewan

Ewan Gordon McGregor (Crieff, 31 March 1971) is a Scottish actor best known for playing Renton in Danny Boyle's Trainspotting, his portrayal of young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel trilogy of Star Wars, and his role as the penniless writer Christian in Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge!
He's also a talented singer (Velvet Goldmine, Moulin Rouge, Down with Love) and gave his wonderful voice for two animated movies (Robots, Valiant). More?

Why this fanlisting?

When I opened (almost by accident) "last application" on TFL board, and I found out Ewan's fanlisting was open for application, I had this face: O_O
It has been a total surprise, and I couldn't believe my eyes.
After some ruminations, I decided to not apply (althought all Clo's "Apply, try it!"), because I was sure I didn't stand a chance. But… hee, after my usual Thursday's episode of Long way down series, I couldn't resist anymore and I simply send in my apply.
You can image my face when I opened Thunderbird and saw "Approval: McGregor, Ewan". I read it twice, then requested the "You list" mail, because I simply couldn't believe it was real. Then, after calling Clo who conviced me it was real, I finally happily started giggle. XD
I won't waste your time with a long poem on why and how much I love Ewan, so let's simply say I adore him as the talented actor (and singer ^^) he is, and, perhaps more, the marvellous down to earth person (and husband) it happens to be.

The title has been like a childbirth, the last thing to set up for actually uploading the fanlisting and officially open up for business. I was looking for something original (to avoid the "one adjective" title), but nothing was really coming to my mind. I wanted to play with the three things that most define Ewan (the love for his family, the love for motorbikes, and the... addiction to nude scene), but "Family, speed and nude scene" really sucked. >_>
I almost had no hope, when I ran into an interview where he was called "hot scot": it's simple, but suits him well, and both me and Clo found it perfect. :D
