Alexander is a 2004 epic movie based on the life of Alexander the Great, King of Macedony and first real conqueror of the world, who completed his father's job, conquering Greek and almost all the know world, from Persia to India.
Alexander the Great, son of King Philip II of Macedony, lived during the third century BC, and his life (along his mysterious death) is become a legend just after the death. As one of the most famous hero of all times, he ispired many people during centuries, from arts to books. Why this fanlisting?

I've always been interested and charmed by Alexander the Great legend since I was only a child, maybe because my real name is Alessandra, the italian version of international Alexandra. When I found out there was a film about him in production I was completely thrilled!
I waited the movie impatiently, and when I finally took my seat at the theatre... I have been amazed from the introduction since the very end, including the ending titles, thanks to the amazing Vangelis soundtrack, the costumes, the take breathing battle scenes, and the actors' skills.
I can tell I've not been disappointed by Oliver Stone direction, or Colin Farrell's acting as the famous conqueror. Simply amazing!
I've applied for the fanlisting just after being back at home, hoping to get it. Staffer, Hoppy at those times, chose Zoe, a very excellent choice. Her graphics skills were far above mine, and he owned the list with much love.
Unfortunately her site was hacked, and she lost everything, from codes to members list. I wrote her asking what happened to the fanlisting, and she kindly offered to adopt it. I'll never be able to thank her enough!

The title comes from the movie tagline, originally a famous quote from the latin writer Virgilio, author of the Aeneis (better know as Aeneid). Actually the poet lived in classic Rome empire during the I century BC, long after Alexander the Great (356-323 BC).
